The quality of the broadcast has vastly improved since the beginning. Audio and content wise. I salute Gus because he has become almost an expert when dealing with the different topics that come up and also dealing with suspected white supremacist.
It's hilarious how he busts out laughing during the responses that some white people give to his questions.

I totally agree with you about the codification police.

Even neely fuller jr said his compensatory code book is just a GUIDE and SUGGESTIONS. Not to be taken word by word and not think for yourself. Because even he says himself he does not know the solution to defeating white supremacy.

It's important that all black people develop critical thinking skills so that we can all work on better methods to solve this problem we all have.

I do agree that we all should follow a basic guideline when dealing with white people for sure tho. Just always be cautious and ask questions so you know what kind of white person you are dealing with.

I had a discussion with a few other folks on this forum on this subject. I don't think African-Americans will gain the keys necessary to defeat white supremacy or mitigate it significantly beyond de jure abolition of racial discrimination.

The first key which is required is a separate state and that's not going to happen. Given that reality, I see progress has very limited. Thoughts?

Well in my opinion white people will have to be annihilated. Their interference will not allow us to achieve a separate state so UNFORTUNATELY blood will have to spill. Historically white people don't care unless there is actual physical fighting back. And black people are not doing that. This reality is known by all black people which is where the fear comes from in fighting back. Once you go that direction there is no turning back. In Africa it seems in some parts they are ready to fight the white people and take back what is theirs. We are behind enemy lines here so its a bit of a different situation.

I also like how he is against metaphors and he has opened up my eyes to how white people try to trick us by using metaphors. I've never looked at it that way. So I've become better at expressing my thoughts directly.

breh Gus is a genius. There's absolutely no fooling him. the way he engages with white people reminds me of Malcolm X and that's no understatement. I remember when I was more confused and white identified (still am) I would be soooo uncomfortable at how "hostile" Gus was to the suspected racist, then I realised why the fukk am I being sympathetic to people who are dedicated to my destruction.
Anyway I found another great programme

Champagne Sharks Podcast is another great one as far as critical thinking. They've pointed out some things that I'd always suspected but didn't have the words to express it. Please check that one out especially the Hamilton episode CS 003: Why I Hate Hamilton the Musical

and the Postmodern Geekdom episode CS 038: Postmodern Geekdom as Simulated Ethnicity Pt. 1 with Kom Kunyosying and Carter Soles
I feel like they offer really insightful critical thought and all non white people should listen to urban

I also wanna hear your take on those 2 episodes
Peace

Listening to the Hate You Give audiobook study. I haaaaate this book. It’s one giant cowbell!

Can you or anyone else ITT remind me of the meaning of the cowbell? Ive been mostly listening to the book club books rm and recently started listening to the guests and it is going off all the time.

Seems to be context dependent when people are: making excuses for RWS or white people in general as being ignorant, someone in a tragic or trashy arrangement, and prob another one that I can't remember atm.

The cowbell is meant to make you pay attention to signs of white supremacy which aren’t overt.

The second guy (John King) from the Save White People/Caucasian Persuasion/The White Voice who called in after Colin Flaherty got pissed off and hung up on Gus.

The guy calls in ranting and raving with foul language asking Gus why he was asking about the black guy when the guy is mentioned in the book. Gus succinctly got him to behave saying, "You're representing the white team. You don't want to be coming off as some uncouth savage if you're repping the white team. Give us your best now."

Dude is always calm and just dissects hostile white folks with clever one sentence quips.
