Do “Light Skin Girls” really struggle, or is Oprah just trying to make another movie?

Well from what I saw first hand in my day all the Lightskin girl did was something small like drop a pen and the darker girl would blow it up out of proportion and start beating her ass
how do those fights start?

the problem with lightskin hoes has ALWAYS been, their great at talking shyt---not so much at whupping ass.
I got a solution, don't talk shyt, if you don't want that ass whupped.
Or they would break infront of the lightskin girl on purpose and then look back to try to dare the Lightskin girl to do or say something. If the Lightskin girl's head wasn't down at the floor, it was enough for the darker girl to take it as the Lightskin saying something about being broken infront of and start beating her ass
And why were there always two darker girls waiting and ready to jump in or record when these fights "suddenly broke out"

Light skin is perceived as feminine
Light skin is the standard of beauty in the black community... The more exotic and further away from Black you look the more call backs for jobs you will get (studies have proven that attractiveness gets paid more)
Light skin is perceived as innocent and angelic
Light skin/foreign/exotic (read East African) is considered Blue ribbon trophy status deserving of marriage by most men in the Black community and on this very website
Light skin is praised within Black households (whether people admit to the dirty secret or not)
I could could go on but folks will call me bitter/hating/jealous for stating requested #factsonly
You can believe it... or continue to deny light skin privilege.... Your choice
I believe there are issues and struggles, even if I don't feel it is near as much as what darker complected people go through. But who am I to say someone's issues aren't important when they don't affect me like that... I don't even consider myself light skin but have had people not like me and/or try to "ruin my life" because certain features they cared about more than me. Part of that is being trained to think what you have is isn't good enough, that closest to white is right. That being internalized, people react to it different ways. Its the root of the issue and I have seen it in all ways. Dark skin girls being bullied or being the bullies. I have seen light skin girls being bullied or being the bullied. I have seen the egos inflated because they are yella

We as a people put too much emphasis on skin color among ourselves. Its not unique to our race... At a Christmas party last week this dude said I thought I was too good to give him a personal goodbye because I was light skin
I was like I'm not, and I left thinking is this negro doing paper bag test in his head? We have been ingrained with this. If I cared about it I wouldn't know what color I was. Have you guys even noticed the different definitions of color people have?

As much as I wanna call bs (women in general do the half truth thing), I've seen this play out a few times personally. I remember one time my ex's cousin put hands on this lil lightskin chick that started talkin shyt cause the cuz was getting hella attention. Lightskin shorty said some slick shyt along the lines of "idk why she so hype she ugly anyway". It caught the ear of someone in the room and spread until folks starting turning up and voices were being raised. My ex cousin was known for beating chicks asses, she fight like a dude. People amped the situation but lightskin shorty dipped on the sly.
She spent that weekend talkin more shyt and letting her friends gas her up. She ended up getting caught out and about by the cousin and got her ass beat. badly. it humbled her steez for the rest of the semester. I don't think I saw that chick out much after that lol
So yeah this shyt is real. So real they made a song about
"light skin hoes betta betta watch out, all that talkin in the club will get that weave pulled out"
Some of yall might not want to hear this but the self hate goes both ways. Some lightskins try to darken their bloodline. Some darkerskinned people try to lighten it.

This shyt is stupid and you sound like one of them racist sites saying all blacks can jump and play ball. I never knew all darkskin chicks were only good for being brawlers and lightskin chicks were good for being punching bags. So what happens if the stereotypical darkskin chick gets washed by a lightskin chick should they go off themselves. They apparently aren't getting guys, and their only claim to fame in their feeble mind (which I'm pretty sure most dudes don't care about) fighting is gone to the evil lightskin chick.
