People in general do not know how to distinguish the difference between skin tones, I love how everybody is either darkskin or lightskin with no in between which is the category the majority of people fall in

He was one of those people. I have never thought I was or wanted to be. But I have run into lots of people like that. I have been called light skin and the dark one

There's absolutely something wrong with it when you understand the history of where this issue come from. It's an issue that's not only present in the US, but in South Africa, Haiti, Rwanda, and even India.
As a black man if you have a "preference" for light skin woman you have to be honest with yourself and ask yourself why. Is it because it's what you find attractive, or is it because you've bought into a system of white supremacy that says anything closer to white is automatically superior.

I used to wish I was darker. y mom had my brain warped for a little while. Dark was the shyt. I don't have a preference now.
I would change everything about my skin except the color; the color doesn't matter but the dry patches, scars, eczema, freckles and acne can go. I have a thing for flawless skin.

We come in so many shades that is hard to come up with a middle.
Also it depends on the area you grew up in that shapes your idea on the whole light dark thing
