Some comments made by Pedro Martinez in regards to our pitching.

"The Mets have the best nucleus of young pitchers. If they're smart and they handle them well, I think the Mets can really do something. Keep Harvey healthy and guiding the rest of the pack. If they do that, they're going to have a lot of fun in Queens."

"If they are eliminated and they (the pitchers) need to rest a little bit, they need to do it now so they can come back full of energy next year and kind of give you what Kansas City is doing now, a young team full of energy and desire to win."

We have pitching, but I wouldn't get hyped up.
Wright prime is done; we have no above average offensive players, no big time hitting prospects coming through next year(unless you count Nimno who'll prob come through in July/August), and the FO will not spend money/take on salary through trade.

Unless Harvey comes back like nothing happened(Pitchers coming off TJ don't rebound like that) or the Mets have one of those dream flukey seasons, 2015 will be another 76 win season.

The Wilsons set the budget not Sandy... I think Sandy is doing alright
I'm not saying its his fault
To me, keeping him is a sign that the Wilpons plan is to continue to not spend

Until the Wilpons bust that wallet open, it doesn't matter who's the GM or Manager is. The 2014 payroll is 82 mil, which ranks as bottom 10 in MLB. There's no reason the Mets shouldn't be players for Yasmani Tomas(FA Cuban power OF who's 25) or making a trade for Tulo; Cargo, or Braun.

Same here. I think it's time for Backman to get his shot. Backman isn't the greatest, but DNA got fixed on his watch, and all the Minor Leaguers that have moved up love him.

if you brehs didnt have to play us, the Mets would be 7 games over .500 and have an outside chance at the Wildcard.
