I played hockey too as a kid but I was never good enough to a star, just a solid 2nd liner.

I think I could have been a decent central attacking midfielder if I took soccer more seriously in my teens, my playing style was kinda similar to Mesut Ozil. :manny:

Like my nikka Malta, I had the game of a PF or C in a 6'2 body, but could shoot the three. I'm convinced I could have played center field for the Yankees or corner for the Giants if I didn't break my leg in college.

I regret not putting in the work to be a player at the college level (baseball)

I also regret dismissing the thought of going the JUCO route to develop more physically. My coach mentioned it, but I thought I was hot shyt and wasn't hearing none of that shyt.

I had a couple D3 schools interested in me for basketball, but again, I was set on going D1 in baseball.

:snoop:

It didn't help that I didn't have anybody in my family who's been through the process, but you live and you learn.

Somewhat, but it was out of my control. Played basketball and was scouted by several schools, but dislocated my knee cap at the start of my junior year and was looking like Shaun Livingston, and so I was forced to come to terms with that and move on. I still got a scholarship to school based on academic merit, so it wasn't as if I was relying solely on athletics to get me into school but sometimes you can't help but wonder what could've been.

I was good @ football in my limited time, and my HS sent two people to the NFL that I would have played with. In basketball though, I was only good when I was around people that couldn't physically match up with me, my handle never developed to the level a guards should be at. By the end of 7th grade I was 6"1, and the coaches for my middle school team kept telling me to focus on being a big, so that's what I did :sadcam: My father is 6"5 and mother is 5"7, the doctors kept telling me I'd end up around 6"7 to 6"9 so I kept playing as though I was a big. I had no reason to believe I'd only grow 1 more fukking inch :why: when HS rolled around everyone caught up in height and my guard skills weren't great. I was athletic and smart enough to play to my strengths but if someone was quick enough to force me left I was done. I went to a camp and while I wasn't the worst player there, I never stood out.

I was awful @ baseball, I'd swing at anything

Quit Hockey to smoke weed and skateboard half way through my last season(Junior A tier 2). With Scolies offers and a top 15 rank by central scouting(OHL draft purposes). :snoop:
