After watching that clip I actually agree w/ DMX. Cats spend too much time talking about what they are going to do, or too much time talking about the complexities of life...when in actuality most peoples problems would be solved if they put work in and got money.
People like to talk about the ills of the "black community" like its some puzzle...everything wrong w/ the black community comes down to the poverty mindset....you break that, and the world opens up.
I mean...the hood wasnt sweet when it was Italians/Irish/Jews in it...shyt, a lot of cities were more violent then than they are now.
nikkas chase the short term money without building wealth or have discipline to pass down anything to their kids. "Getting Money" is a short term mindset that breeds selfishness and not building anything. It is actually feminine by nature, and most people that scream that "they getting paper" are still broke, in their minds and in their bank accounts. The other ethnic groups learned that discipline for the next generation is needed, but black folk like DMX never learned that.
