And what X said about unconditional love is true, but theres nothing wrong with wanting your pops to do better, and working with him and holding him accountable.

It was like a car accident I couldn't take my eyes off. :to:

If his firstborn asking him to go clean, so they could start a healthy relationship, won't work, then Iyanala's right...any day now... :to:

DMX is an addict so its hard to take anything he says seriously. At first his son wants him to own up to the fact that he was running around cheating on his mother but DMX argues that a kissing a chick in the studio doesn't imply that he's fukking. Then when he mentions his father bragging about his side chicks, he goes on to say there's a difference between fukking groupies and loving his wife which again contradicts his first point. He may no doubt have love for his son but its obvious he has control issues on top of a serious drug addiction.

Bottom line he needs to get off coke/crack. The follow up interview was unbearable to watch.

His son wasn't at the studio when X was recording THEM HITS!! :ohlawd:

Nah but on the real though, You guys are trying to act too hard with this, you gotta applaud his son for standing up to his father and expressing how he feels, this sh*t is hard for him, REAL HARD, some of yall don't have any clue as to how it feels to see your pops f*cking up each time around and it gets to a point where you get tired of it. I agree he shouldn't have blindsighted him but regardless of the matter, he put his mark on it. And X being X i can understand how hard it is to change when you're a drug addict, that's the only thing that I would agree with X on that one.

point blank DMX is wrong, granted if i was X i would have wanted to smack the lady too, but the problem is the lady was right, the son didnt have the strength to tell his pops what needed to be said,so she backed him up, personally i dont think i would have gone that route cuz i dont think i would have the strength to talk to mom or pops like that, but what the son did was his right as a human being, he has the right to be independent of all the negativity DMX is coming with

also what DMX was saying about unconditional love sounds good on the surface but realistically what he was asking for was for his son to be another enabler of his habit where could do his thing and in the back of his mind he can say 'yeah im still good with my son'

he is trying to make believe that there are no consequences to drugs in regards to family

wait, are you guys actually sympathizing with dmx? :usure:

before you trash iyala, do you guys realize that dmx REACHED out to her to do the show where he asked for "her help"? :what: do you realize that dmx puts himself outthere like that? don't blame iyala or these folks for dmx putting himself on full blast.

i don't think you guys fully understand what was going on on the show though. x doesn't want to change his life. yes, he'll always be a drug addict and he has to learn how to live with his disease BUT dude wants to still hold on to his demons and his pain. that's the problem. he doesn't want to become a better person. he let his demons and pain run his life and he's using that to justify his behaviors and actions. you know, just because you had people do you wrong and behave like an a$$hole to you doesn't mean that you should pay back the world by being that way towards other people.

them telling him to lay off the drugs is basicaslly telling him to let go of the burden that he's holding onto. he's holding to all the damn pain and it's killing him.

i think it's fukked up that you guys are actually supporting x and his drive to kill himself. for real, x has mental issues and etc BUT he has to learn how to deal with them and not let that run his life like he's choosing to let that pain run his life. he's not even willing to fight it anymore. i think x will realize that it's only him that can let go and he'll do it on his own.

Nah. I disagree. Those that have delt with addicts know that ultimatums do not work. The drug is their escape and by giving them that ultimatum they will always just escape. If his son really wanted a relationship with him and really wanted to help him, his condition would have been that X has to work with him on quitting, and be open to advice. Not "throw away your personal demons or I want nothing to do with you". If it was the other way around and X told his son that, people would be saying he was wrong.

:comeon: so you missed the part with him saying that right now is the cleanest he's been in a long time. And he went on the show to talk about his problems with women. It supposedly had nothing to do with his son or drugs.

unconditional love is not known to work either and it was on X to say that he wanted to work on his problem and maybe they can, they both have love for each other so im sure they will talk eventually, but X doesnt have the right to ask for unconditional love, i see that as more like sneak bully move on his part

:laff: i guess you missed the part about her basically saying that x's problem with women is only a symptom to a bigger problem of his which is why she turned it into a thing where she's trying to work on him as a person, which makes sense. hint, the reason why she brought up his issues of abandonment and why she asked him why is he holding on to grief. she was trying to make him look at his experiences from a standpoint where it would make him stronger and not use that as an excuse to do what he's doing. her bringing up him using drugs is a part of him trying to change his behavior.

you also must have NOT watched couples therapy where dmx was basically doing the same shyt he did on this episode. it was the same exact thing.

to me, i think the problem with you and a lot of these folks is that you actually want to see a man down. you have to be a sick person to enjoy seeing someone literally killing themselves and then say "it's okay".
