The casino's are absolutely the WORST place to hang out. The ones in Detroit just act as a money suck to the already depressed economy. Always a bad idea, especially because they're sold to cities as some sort of economic boom. Over time, i believe their effect on local economies is net negative. Remember, over time THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS.

I live off 210 so I'm 10 minutes from MGM, it was crazy watching it get built from start to finish the shyt looks amazing from 295. I voted for it because I felt the Oxon Hill/Fort Washington area is highly underdeveloped for it being so close to the D.C. border line and hopefully the added revenue will help renovate shyt in P.G. and would boost up the value of property in Oxon Hill/Fort Washington. Funny thing is I don't gamble for shyt, but it's gon be lit as fukk especially when big name artists start performing there. They knew what they was doing not allowing free drinks, between Baltimore and P.G. County with D.C. in the cut that's a lot of ratchet ass mafukkas to deal with.

If I were a city planner/architect I'd turn the Harbor out, I drive by there from work all the time just thinking of the possibilities. All it needs is a gang of clubs and bars for club hopping and a mix of high end to affordable food spots running within that empty space between the MGM and the rest of the Harbor. Make it like a fake Bourbon Street or something with all the endless bars and clubs and in the side streets you got food spots to eat after getting drunk. Put some family shyt closer to the Gaylord and other hotels like a Dave & Busters or a playground, add a few big glossy buildings and get some tech firms in to steal some money from Dulles and nem, slap in a Fillmore-esque theater for big time live performances. The Harbor could be GOAT status if done right it's already a clutch go to spot for dates n shyt, it just needs more shyt to do. Hell, they should expand the shyt outta Tangier and add more stores to the outlet, extend the Green Line to the Oxon Hill Park & Ride to ease up the traffic, shyt since they loving street cars so much why not get one from National Harbor to the Old Town Alexandria harbor across the river? lol, nikka I need to play SimCity or something.
