I was wondering if I missed those scenes somehow
It was in the DVD Extras
I've seen the movie twice, and I'd remember if someone had used clunky dialogue like that.
What are you like the official Django dialogue guru of this muthafukka? The fact you would want that position in this thread is why you can't have the job
Its kinda odd, and screams ulterior motive
You shyttin' me?? I didn't know that
and I take it you never saw Pulp fiction then ..where QT made a special appearance to sling the N word around unabashed
edit: Even though it was set during slavery in the South, most of the N word usage didn't sound natural. some did but alot of it was forced. my whole family is from the Greenville/Leland, Mississippi area breh
Stop talking all this sense, you might upset the locals
Pulp is my favorite movie. The usage of the nikka in that movie and Django Unchained is completely different. Apples and oranges.
Tarantino's got a weird obsession with black culture and history, but I don't think that makes him a racist. Few people watch this show, but if the white DJ from Treme ever made movies, he'd be exactly like Tarantino. Both of them are passionate, privileged, and complete loners.
What the
fukk does any of that gotta do with anything?
The use of ****** in Django never seemed overdone or gratuitous to me...for the time period that was what black folks were called by everyone.
Now an instance where QT used the word gratuitously was in Pulp Fiction when Jules and Vincent went to Jimmy's house to clean up after Vincent killed Marvin and he started talking about "dead ****** storage".
That whole exchange felt odd.
I can assume you are not an african american by your name, sig/etc. Maybe I'm wrong, but doubt it.
So for you to say it didn't seem forced is a joke on this status
Because when myself and my black ass godbrother was watching the movie (with a spanish guy) as soon as they ****** this/that started flying he gave me a look like
And everytime it was really really overdone we'd look at each other on some
Most of us already have the file probably. Maybe you would like to fast forward to the certain point in the movie?
This nikka be trollin' so hard
I was reading his quotes like when did they say that shyt.
It all makes sense now
Its pretty clear nothing makes any sense to the majority of you guys
Y'all don't really think he was seriously trying to say those were lines from the movie did you?
To me it was clear he was just trying say how forced it seemed for QT to get the word ****** in there at times.
You seem like one of dem dare fancy pants types
Hey ma, get off dat roof!!
There's a big difference between a phrase like "Keep fighting, nikkas!" and "Man, that door creaks like a nikka." The second one comes off completely forced and it's hard to come up with a context or premise where that line would make sense. It's amateur hour writing. There's no shyt like that in the movie.
Now your starting to get it Django Guru
When they get to the BAR where they holla at the sheriff. The way the bartender almost lost his mind and he was like "Get that nikka outta here"
Thats the beginning. You wanna say "but thats how it was" Ok.
So later they get to the mansion where Django rolls up on his horse.
Once the dude agrees to do business with them, there's a whole scene where the slave owners is trying to explain how Django should be treated
When she says "You want me to treat him like white ppl" and the slave owner goes "
NO!
It was funny, but its also going extra. He goes extra thru out the entire movie
Sam Jackson is fukking Uncle Ruckus in the movie, but your trying to convince ppl that its not ovetly used
But that shyt wasn't anywhere close, which is why it couldn't even blend in as a joke post.
