It's set in the time of slavery. nikka or ****** got thrown around a lot.
:ohhh: You shyttin' me?? I didn't know that :stopitslime:

and I take it you never saw Pulp fiction then ..where QT made a special appearance to sling the N word around unabashed

edit: Even though it was set during slavery in the South, most of the N word usage didn't sound natural. some did but alot of it was forced. my whole family is from the Greenville/Leland, Mississippi area breh

Pulp is my favorite movie. The usage of the nikka in that movie and Django Unchained is completely different. Apples and oranges.

Tarantino's got a weird obsession with black culture and history, but I don't think that makes him a racist. Few people watch this show, but if the white DJ from Treme ever made movies, he'd be exactly like Tarantino. Both of them are passionate, privileged, and complete loners.

And at the end.. it just.. it felt like the movie is like some p*ssy
At first that p*ssy is good cuz its p*ssy... but midway thru your like "this p*ssy isn't as good as I hyped it up to be" And then once the movie is over, its like you didn't even nut :dwillhuh:

So anyway, I'm watching the shyt. It starts off pretty action packed
I'm thinking to myself its good so far. But then the story long haul part sets in
And the whole "nikka" argument that was brought up. Yeah, I can totally understand why actors turned down that role.

I imagined reading the script while the movie was going, and the word nikka was thrown in at times when it didn't even make sense.
A guy was opening the door and he says "Man, that door creeks like a nikka"

Another guy went to tie his shoe in another scene and because he didn't tie his laces properly the guy says "He always ******-tied his shoes like that"

The word was thrown around a billion times, and just because it was based in a time period does not give free reign to toss it around like it was in the movie. It wasn't necessary. And when I say this, it was so over done. That I just had to laugh. A white guy would enter the scene and he'd be like "Gool lee, we have ourselves a whole heap a' nikkaz in here today boy :whew:
Lets say we kill one of these fukkin ******s for ****** fukks sake :yeshrug:
Send the dawgs in!!! Then Leo would look at the camera like :troll:

And at the end.. it just.. it felt like the movie is like some p*ssy
At first that p*ssy is good cuz its p*ssy... but midway thru your like "this p*ssy isn't as good as I hyped it up to be" And then once the movie is over, its like you didn't even nut :dwillhuh:
And I'm over here thinking to myself, what was all the "nikka nikka nikka" for?
It seems like the overt use of the word nikka was there more for fake shock value basically. Like, if QT wasn't talented enough to have more meaningful dialogue
This is what separates him from the ELITES :manny:

The use of ****** in Django never seemed overdone or gratuitous to me...for the time period that was what black folks were called by everyone.
Now an instance where QT used the word gratuitously was in Pulp Fiction when Jules and Vincent went to Jimmy's house to clean up after Vincent killed Marvin and he started talking about "dead ****** storage".
That whole exchange felt odd.

That never happened.

I was wondering if I missed those scenes somehow

I've seen the movie twice, and I'd remember if someone had used clunky dialogue like that.

This nikka be trollin' so hard

I was reading his quotes like :ohhh: when did they say that shyt.

It all makes sense now :russ:
:snoop:
Y'all don't really think he was seriously trying to say those were lines from the movie did you?
To me it was clear he was just trying say how forced it seemed for QT to get the word ****** in there at times.
