DJ Quik finally did Drink Champs (Nore says it's one of the best interviews they've done)

I seen Quik in concert one time and mind you the DJ is on the floor where the crowd is but at the BACK of the venue, the dj messes up something, quik hops off stage walks thru the crowd to check the dj, once they straighten it out walks back to the stage and continues

Sounds about right, he doesn't suffer fools with live shyt.

I've seen him curse out a sound engineer after the sound was terrible. He stops the show and asks him what the mixer is from the other side of the venue .(3 songs into the show mind you), then proceeds to instruct the engineer from afar, giving him instructions like 'oh its the 27bc Beheringer board? See the slider two from the right? Push it up two levels. Take the 3rd one down one level.'

Show sounded great from then on.

Rest of the audience wasn't really that impressed, I never seen anything like that, before or again.

Imagine the sound engineer actually is good at his job though and this is just a part of shtick

You'd be annoyed.
He did the same exact thing you described at The Observatory in Santa Ana. The sound guy was visibly annoyed and Quik sent him a bottle of Purple Reign alcohol of something like that

At one stage he had a studio at the Disney lot, or attached to it.

He had his own personal power source, as in, he was worried about dirty power and what it does to the recording, so he installed special power.

This is the type of motherfukker he is.

There's a reason All Eyez On Me sounds the way it does. David Blake mixed and engineered that shyt.
