18k isn't bad or something to be ashamed of. not sure why mustard is in his feelings about this. his problem was little promo for this and frankly a lackluster album. he was missing hits and good records.
him and YG patched it up so i'm not sure why those two didn't work on a single for this rollout. that would've helped mustard and YG for his upcoming album.

kendrick is a rapper. it's not his job to promote albums. should he support artists by promoting it on his platform? you can make the argument that he should, but that's not on brand for him. he doesn't really comment on anything and you only really see him until he's rolling an album out.

I actually do agree with this. Kendrick is selfish. I'm the same way. But what he did do was give Mustard a full set at the Pop Out. He was a headliner for the biggest hip hop event of the summer. Mustard should have promoted his album during that time.
On Mustards last song "Pray For Me" he says this.
"I can't do this shyt without thankin' that nikka K-Dot, man He came through, swang through with the number one right before the album dropped, I ain't even need no rollout So you gotta pray for him."
He didn't do a rollout at all. You still have to do your job. The Popout and Not Like Us stimulus ain't gone last forever especially because you're just the producer. You're not the voice behind the music.

Kendrick only promotes himself and Keem on social media. If you’re looking to do ANYTHING with Kendrick and think he’s going to promote it then you played yourself. Mustard knows the deal and ain’t complaining so neither should anyone else.
Mustard crashing out over Drake is corny because whether he supplied the beat to the biggest diss song of the decade or not, he was always going to sell what he sold. It has nothing to do whatsoever with Drake. Blaming Drake is dumb as fukk (even though the “Drake is Malcolm X for white people” tweet is funny as hell)
As long as Kendrick made sure Mustard gets his publishing thats all he’s owed. Kendrick and Mustard aren’t close personal friends, their not kin, their not label-mates. Kendrick was up in the battle BEFORE Not Like Us came out so its not like Mustard did anything to “save” Kendrick for doing what producers are supposed to do, which is supply beats. And its not like Kendrick is playing favorites. Like That was a smash hit that Kendrick didn’t promote either. He didn’t promote Q. He didn’t promote Soulo when he dropped a few years ago. The man does NOT promote.
