Breh Game and Ross got songs together. Ross was on one of Game’s biggest hits. Since WHEN has Game “always” hated Ross? Matter of fact wasn’t Ross on Game’s last album that anyone cared about?
This was literally less than two years ago. Game dissed Ross because Ross was going at Aubrey and Game wanted to get in on the action WITHOUT directly going at Kendrick because it would’ve made him look like a hater but he still wanted to draw for Drake. It is what it is but lets not rewrite history like Game and Ross EVER had any real issues or beef. Notice how now that the beef has died down Game ain’t said a goddamn thing about Ross, and we all know when its real problems that Game NEVER shuts up about an opponent.
Drake is an opportunist and always has been. Its why half the industry finally had enough and gave him a collective “fukk You” when he went to war with someone he couldn’t meme his way to victory or hide up under J Prince’s old ass. That and he has the rep for deliberately fukking everyone’s wife or girlfriend. Its been said over and over that Drake NEVER helped anyone out of the goodness of his heart or for the “love” of Hip Hop. He did it because it in turn helped HIM, which in itself isn’t a bad thing, this is a BUSINESS at the end of the day. But nikkas ain’t giving you props taking Asap Rocky and Kendrick on tour when any idiot could tell they were about to be the biggest things smoking. Kendrick was literally anointed on stage by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg as the chosen one to revive the West Coast and Asap had one of the biggest buzzes a modern day New York artist has ever had (maybe THE biggest) Drake didn’t do a damn thing for their careers that wasn’t already on the horizon. Good Kid m.A.A.d City was going to be a classic whether Drake was on it or not. And Drake exposed his REAL feelings about both of them in due time. His bytch made crying over the Control verse was despicable. Dude literally said “Nobody’s going to work with Kendrick anymore” over a goddamn battle verse, then went on ESPN and crashed out and tried to clean it up threatening not to host the ESPY’s if they aired the interview.
Your running with this “Kendrick helps nobody” angle simply because he doesn’t dangle the help or assistance he gives to people over their heads the way Drake does. But again, NOBODY has ever complained about Kendrick not helping them or the moves he makes. Thats literally unheard of in Rap music, where everyone feels someone owes them something. Mustard has only expressed gratitude towards Kendrick. Every rapper at the Pop Out concert has only good things to say about him. The nikka LEFT Top Dawg entertainment and nobody on the label has even sent a subliminal shot his way, again this is unprecedented. So why exactly do people have such an issue with Drake, if he’s this saint who charitably bestows favors and sprinkles miracles over the careers of others and no smoke for Kendrick if he’s this selfish hoarding troll? It makes no sense.
Maybe its because one’s favors are tipped with poison. The Weeknd straight up told us what it was years ago. He wrote the majority of Take Care and in “return” Drake wanted him to sign a terrible deal with OVO and Weeknd told him to kiss his ass and went onto become one of the biggest artists on the planet. Quentin Miller wrote one of Drake’s biggest albums and in “return” got dropped like a hot tamale once it got exposed Drake was a fraud who couldn’t write his way out of a wet paper bag. NOBODY flourishes under Drake while Kendrick got Keem and Dave Free Grammys. He ghostwrote Jay Rock’s verse on Rock’s biggest song and got him a Grammy. He curated the Black Panther soundtrack and gave a bunch of west coast artists a HUGE look.
Mustard is going to eat for the rest of his life off Not Like Us. It went number 1 based off KENDRICK’s hype not Mustard’s. It has a great chance of garnering several grammy noms, including becoming the first diss song to be nominated for Record Of The Year. Mustard will get credit, royalties, and recognition for all of that. And he didn’t have to ghostwrite Kendrick’s verses or offer up his woman to get it. Go ask Majid Jordan or DVSN how much Drake tweeting their album releases are worth versus Kendrick’s involvement with several west coast artists without having to say a word.
