easy for me.. he has never gave Nas a great song. Nas does that shyt out of friendship.

"Hip Hop" is possibly the best Nas/Scarface collaboration. I'd go as far as saying it is the best. We would have never gotten that song had it not been for Khaled. People want to run with the narrative that Khaled does nothing.

I see people attempting to run with this narrative that Khaled does nothing and is somehow unimportant to Hip Hop. Well, him being a DJ and this being Hip Hop makes him important. This is supposed to be a Hip Hop forum and it's crazy to see people ask "what does Khaled do" or asking for him to be ousted out of a culture where the DJ is actual a fundamental element. I also reiterate, Khaled has put together songs that are far more culturally relevant than anything Tyler has created. I don't have a dog in this fight because I've never copped an album from either. Khaled makes compilations and outside of the songs I've liked, I've had no use for them. Tyler, I've tried to get into his music, but it was more interesting back in 2011. I liked a couple of those songs. I checked out that 2013 album and didn't like it and never listened to anything else.

A lot of what u saying is invalidated by the fact that within the DJ community he’s not even respected and a lot of ppl think he’s a trash DJ.

And last, DJ Khaled is one of the last DJ's around to do albums like this. We can't even get Clue exclusives anymore because the game changed. I still see posts here and there about classic Clue tapes. Clue pioneered what Khaled is doing with the albums with Professional series and the Backstage album. Flex had some albums too as did Kay Slay and Kid Capri. They didn't rap and besides Clue, I don't think any of them produced. NOBODY questioned what it was they did.

That's what I'm saying. Idk but from the posts in here and the other thread, the coli seems to have a pre disposed hatred towards Khaled though...

Look at Khaled, look at tyler.

The coli got race issues. Some of these folks dont care that Khaled might have legitimately got fukked over, they just happy Tyler won over him.

I ain't dissing that mindset, I understand it. But I rather have a real win. Not an affirmative action one.

Exactly. But you see people is so immature/unintelligent the first thing they gone say is "fuc this fat fuc khaled." "Fat fuccin crybaby." "Khaled isn't hip hop, he's an arab." Instead of having an actual discussion and enlightening themself to think outside of tha box and see shyt outside of a limited perspective, they dapfish and fuccin circle jerk each other.

If it wasnt for DJs, no fuccin body would hear songs at a concert, Khaled is hip hop because he brings great artist together in situations where they otherwise would've never even thought about collaborating. But birds will be birds.

Who in the DJ community doesn’t respect Khaled? Who thinks he’s a trash DJ? I remember seeing peers of his saying that Khaled actually can get busy on the turntables.

Little does Billboard know they're destroying the value of the chart. With all these damn added stipulations.
Sales should be physical copies bought and paid for downloads. Simple

At this point, I don't even know what it means to be #1 on Billboard with sales or song.

Looking back at it, they probably shouldn't have allowed Jay to use company promotions to manipulate sales many years ago

Billboard opened the floodgates with Lady Gaga selling her album for 99 cents and allowing Jay to do his bundle deal. It only got worse when streams became the standard as opposed to actual purchases. Now bundle deals are the newest way to rig the game.
