I just want to add that you should keep your hair regimen simple. Also, minimal manipulation and keeping your hair moisturized are key if you want to grow your hair long.
I got lazy with my hair last year and experienced breakage. I am trying to get back to healthy MBL or WL.

Rona season has my hair in buns or au naturale, all over my head. Lockdown and no work/commute. Kids 24/7. Lazy af, the hair products that I use for myself that will normally take a few days delivery, are taking up to 3 weeks. I know I look hit.

I just restarted my hair care journey since my hair has been really dry (4C texture) and I have time now. Here’s some 4C tips:
cantu has alcohol in it, so stay away if you can
stay away from sulfates and hair products with aluminum in it
Deep condition once a week, and shampoo once every 2 weeks. Shampoo dries your hair out, and with thick 4C hair, you can shampoo it less.
In between washes, you can conditioner wash (co-wash) your hair
LOC method on damp hair for daily moisturizing (leave in conditioner, oil (olive or coconut), and cream to lock it in). Style and go
