Lgbtq get a double boost. Black + another “disenfranchised” group. I have lots of friends on different hiring boards. Hiring that combo is like killing two birds with one stone. Plus if it’s a male they’re already emasculated and nobody is intimidated by them.

At work most of the “brehs” up in there are gay or doing a very convincing impression of gay men (which I doubt). you are not having a bunch of straight non butter biscuit eating brehs in a corporate setting. They would eventually find each other and clique up. And even if they weren’t cooking up, these CACs would still be suspicious.

That’s just how it is. The older straight brehs are washed and their souls have been beaten to a pulp. They’ve seen too much, know to much and for some reason don’t wanna flat out tell the young heads that this shyt is rigged. Before Rona I used to talk to them all the time because they were all security guards and only bit of realness you got before going up to work. But life just gets in the way. They got old, got bills and family responsibilities so that young fired been extinguished.

So a regular young breh is his own island. And if you know what to look for, you see a lot of the bullshyt. Maybe someone helps you and takes you under their wing but this isn’t a common thing. Do your work, let them checks cash and focus on the shyt you really wanna do outside of the office.

That's subjective. I mean, had one or two brehs burn me on some corporate bs. But I've also had brehs look out for me and put me in positions to thrive. Hell, I've had an Asian CEO as a mentor that I got through networking.

Either way, to even get in those positions I had to be gregarious. OP just isn't doing enough work, plain and simple. He just needs to connect with the right person, he has all the qualifications and then some.

There are a lot of people waiting to put breh on, he just needs to put in the work.
