when covid hit in march 2020 he stepped down immediately and made Chapek CEO
it was sudden as hell but he was supposed to step down in November 2020 anyway before covid happened.
people think it was because Chapek is more numbers oriented so he would know how to keep the company afloat during the pandemic

It’s called lead time breh, phase 4, stars wars, and Pixar were all under Iger. Chapek came on in 2020 all those failures were under Iger, this is just stockholders mad they ain’t getting paid. He was fukked from start.

Moreso nothing particularly good came from him being there. He should've been making major announcements and developments. Instead at every opportunity he:

• failed to take a leadership stance on the "don't say gay" shyt and other various culture wars until twitter forced his hand
• made no solid attraction announcements during their trade show D23 and started juezling when asked for new parks developments.
• cancelled park annual passes (most likely part of the lead like u described) but again failed to announce a satisfying replacement.
• major hurricanes and economic downturns continue to disrupt Disney's business. this man has no aggressive plans to recover those funds besides whats already been lined up. Meanwhile Kevin Feige announced Marvel's Phase 5 like his life depended on it.

The man honestly did nothing right. Being a captain is more than just biding your time and steering the ship. He didn't do one positive notable thing his whole time there. Now this man not even at the company like damn. You started off selling candy apples and worked your way to the top, and they didn't even want you around as an advisor? lul
