Disney bought Star Wars for $4 bil and people in this thread are saying they thought SW was "over."

you should be excited about a new Star Wars trilogy on the prospect that there is NO WAY they keep it as close to the vest as they have so far. it's gotta be some new shyt. now, if they turn around and say "Obi Wan trilogy" fukk them. sick of these damn characters already.

oh and fukk Avatar so hard, but i know damn well the next one is gonna be another stupid ass "ride" that will reinvent something and it'll make a damn fortune despite no one on Earth liking anything about it other than the "spectacle." and the funniest part about that is the Avatars themselves look like absolute dogshyt.

Are people really yearning for another Avatar movie? LET ALONE FIVE?!?!?

Not at all but Cameron is the KING of spectacle. All it takes is one dope trailer and people will change their minds real quick.

A few years ago the rumor was that Cameron was going for an epic underwater adventure in Pandora’s oceans. I can see something like that being visually epic enough to get people interested

Marvel gang we winning:IseeyouplayboiMarvel:

Disney gang the dynasty continues :banderas:

But the once legendary Star Wars is dying as a brand. :ld:

Disney gotta give up the Star Wars franchise because lack of quality control and give it to WB or something......

It's similar to Star Wars. After TLJ came out, I saw die hard fans on FB and even people here shun it off, but once that trailer hit a few weeks ago, it seems like everyone is back on board. :skip: I'll never really understand how Avatar made all of that money. I know the 3D aspect was re-introduced and it was Cameron's first film in 12 years but I remember leaving the theater and thinking to myself. "Meh. :manny:" I tried watching it again a few months later and fell asleep. I've only ever fully watched it once.

Fox Searchlight is DEAD. No more Hidden Fgures or A Birth of a Nation. :snoop:

They single handily ruining Hollywood with the monopolizations

But but bur but we got the X-Men and Fantastic Four back! :krs: Seriously people didn't look at the bigger picture because now a lot of possibly great films will go the wayside now that Fox is owned by the mouse. :francis:

45 % of all films now are distributed by Disney. Thats a disturbing figure.
