Did the mandalorian come back for another season? I think mid season 2 is far as i got.

They've done three seasons. I don't think the quality has dropped much. It's still pretty good. 'Andor' was one of the best shows I saw last year, period. Tony Gilroy and his team put together a great show. It was a tremendous cast. I think what made it even better is that it focused a lot on shyt you never seen in Star Wars.

oh ok. i might've started the first episode or two of the new season cuz looks like it came out not that long ago from the looks of it. I might have to look up that Andor one and see if i can download it.

Streaming was inevitable just like in music due to technology. With that said, it’s a fukked up model that devalues the product significantly.

You mean for $20 a month, I have instant access to infinitely more movies/tv shows than my old video store used to have in inventory in a given day?

That shyt doesn’t make sense. It’s not even good for the consumer. With so many choices available, we begin to value the products less. We spend more time browsing and browsing through thousands of titles, binge watching shows that we forget instantly, bailing out on movies/tv shows etc.

It’s a crazy model if you ask me.

STREAMING WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE
IF EVERYONE HAD STAYED IN THEIR LANE
AND LET NETFLIX DO THEIR THING.

Even if Netflix were the only Streaming Service, they still couldn't afford to license movies like Spotify does music. Even more movies would be unavailable than today. Physical would have to exist concurrently just to fill in the gap in the market.

You can be a minority like me and just download the movies for free and copy them to your NAS/Plex drive. Better than paying a monthly fee.

It's not just streaming. Technology has made people not go out more often.

Amazon and online shopping pulled people from malls and big box stores.
Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc. pull people from going to restaurants.
Those same apps, plus other companies have pulled people from going to grocery stores
Streaming pulled people from not only buying physical copies, it simply kept them in the house even longer now.
Social media has also turned everyone into a film critic and you have to deal with spoilers, entire plots being leaked months before the movie drops

Society as a whole has changed. Everyone wants instant gratification.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I wish They would put more of their 20th Century Fox content on D+ in America. If other countries can get a D+ with the Alien, Predator, Planet of the Apes and Die Hard movies along with films like Fight Club, Independence Day, and Speed then we should get that shyt too.

This is just me griping though.

The biggest thing I kept hearing when this shyt was coming out was its appeal to people with kids and our ability to watch the classics we grew up on. I kept telling nikkas, adults watch TV too and they're the ones paying for this shyt.

Nostalgia is one of the most overrated things, btw. It's a momentary feeling. Classics are classics, but when you go back to some of the shyt we used to watch :scust: That nostalgic feeling goes away real quick and you're looking for something new to get into. Mid Marvel and Star Wars content ad nauseum isn't going to cut it. They need a merge with Hulu in the baddest way.
I always wondered why they didn't market D+ more as the streaming service for people with kids.

They really thought they were playing 4D chess putting out Star Wars and Marvel movies that actively hated the original movies and fan base…

Will they bring back ordering a movie in the theater again? That was one of the main appeal of streaming.

There's a huge group of people who watch true crime series, for example. shyt is so popular, Hulu (ironically) has a hit comedy featuring true crime fans. You thinks nikkas that live for shows about cults and murderers really that pressed to go back and watch Even Stevens for nostalgia? :dahell:

You think nikkas watching Dahmer then turn around like "It's time to wash that down with a binge of That's So Raven:mjlit:"
