yeah, Streaming was really meant to just be "Create your own Ala carte Cable package", but was marketed in the same fashion we look at piracy where we think we are getting over lol.

But just like Cable you end up getting a streaming app but only watching 1-2 things on it thus you have multiple apps to watch the 1-2 shows exclusive to each platform and then you got thousands of things you paying for that you don't watch (just like cable).

All I have is Prime due to being a Prime Member and the Disney Bundle due to Amex reimbursing me for it.

THE ONLY reason streaming took off the way it did is because all these networks sold their rights to Netflix for pennies so you could get Netflix for 7 dollars and have access to damn near everything outside of HBO.

Essentially what people got was 7 dollar cable.

When those rights expired everyone started making their own streaming network.

We are past the network streaming expansion phase and are reaching consolidation. But the pricing is going nowhere but up.

At the end of the day people are getting more expensive, on demand, cable.

The only thing we’re missing at this point is that these companies trying to lock in customers long term a la cable and we’re eventually going to get to that point.

Yeah and all the networks realized they could have got more money for their catalogue as Netflix value went up and subscribers grew. So they started charging more. Netflix started making their own OG content to offset

That's why everyone started their own services but the curtains got pulled back and we see these big powerhouse name studios have little to no profitability trying to sell and merge now

Yup, and with Netflix and other services beginning to integrate live broadcasts it's eventually just gonna become cable with a larger on-demand library

Live events and sports are going going to be the only thing that people know is "real" sooner rather than later.

And for that reason, it's going to be even more of a premium form of entertainment.

Man, if it comes down to having to pay a premium per month that adds up to simply watching sports, then I think I'll find better things to do to be honest.

You know they're going to crank prices too and folks going to be spending $10k-$20k over their lifetime on this.

$25 A MONTH FOR THAT?

I got a league pass and fail to remember to watch the ESPN games. That when I miss an ESPN or tnt game. I do not give one iota of a fukk. As those games are usually inferior to the actual usual team broadcast.
