Actually it's a LOCK and Guarantee that Episode 7 will be successful. Star Wars Live Action movies are FLOP PROOF Man. There is no way a new Star Wars film won't be a success. It's impossible, the fanbase is to large. Just the hype that this is the sequel to "Return of the Jedi" will have this fanbase going crazy. As for Box Office Records, well that's just my prediction that a new Star Wars movie has a chance to break records cause Star Wars has broken Box Office Records during it's entire history.

It's going to make a profit regardless but in order to do crazy numbers it has to be GOOD.
Getting the series out of George Lucas hands might be the best thing to happen to it.
A lot of the shyt they make away from the films is honestly better.

star wars should be revamped in a serious tone and they should actually use good special effects that don't need to be re-done 20 times.

I think the Expanded Universe is a blessing and a curse. It kept the story going between films (with great stories at that), but also gives them a bunch of stories the most dedicated fans think they "have" to do/live up to.
But if they came with something new of KOTR/Empire Strikes Back quality........

The original films had a mostly serious tone. The problem is he kept adding these little stupid ass elements for his kids that everybody hated....

All that shyt was supposedly added to make the film more family friendly. If you take those elements out of the series it's actually a pretty fukking dark story.
