I’m going to have to watch part 2 again because I don’t remember that movie at all.
Billy and Phoebe Cate (f whatever her character name is), they both work in a media skyscraper ran by ...... Ted Turner if he was a Northerner and in his 40s. So we get essentially the 90s version of Warner Brothers discovery (nicca). Billy is an illustrator and Phoebe a hostess. Gizmo is at shop in Chinatown that gets demolished when the old man from the first movie dies. Billy and Gizmo reunite. Billy brings Gizmo to work and leaves him in his desk cause his boss manipulated him into going out with her. He tell Phoebe about it, but she effs up picking him up, by time she gets there, late night cleaning crew already got Gizmo wet, so you know what happens there. She take the wrong one home (they bring it back).
I guess they found they way to Emeril's set or something and that's how they turned into Gremlins (while torturing Gizmo the whole time), then take over the skyscraper but never leave it, cause it's day time by then. They find a lab, that how you get the Brain, flying Gremlin, female gremlin, and electric phone line Gremlin.
In the theater, they lost to dikk Tracy, which was weird to me at the tome cause I always thought that comic strip was wack.
There are more Christmas related themes in Gremlins than It's a Wonderful Life, which a lot of people consider to be the greatest Christmas movie ever, for some reason. Show some respect and call it what it is - a Christmas movie.
