everything in this movie is perfect. kinda creepy in a couple parts but overall one of the goat 80s comedies. that librarian in the beginning had me :merchant: as a kid. also never saw the ghost BJ scene til I was in my late teens, my parents edited out of our vhs recording :beli:

rick moranis throwing that lame party :russ:
venkman giving zero fukks even when talking to a dimensional god :pachaha:
the music :banderas:
the ecto-1 :lupe:

Can't even believe they tried to reinvent it with c*ntbusters...not even shot in NY...Akroyd is a fukking sell out and pastel colored/scooby doo looking ghost FTL. The mature themes brehs; everyone smoked, drank, and ate like New Yorkers. Egon was a smart-dumb nikka and Venkman was trying to get p*ssy using the power of bullshyt....is there anything more "New York"?

These guys are walking around NYC with unlicensed nuclear accelerators on their backs and causing thousands (and probably millions) of dollars in property damage. He was just a dikk (pun intended) about it. Plus the whole "power outage leads to containment explosion" thing. There's a recurring theme of the three originals being in over their heads and rushing into things without thinking them through. It just so happened that they were able to save the world by doing something so risky they never tried it again.

The small details were ignored since ghosts literally had no way of being captured....plus Egon was such a genius that they could fall, run, etc with nuke packs on their back and be completely safe.
