Wherever whores go.....
Amanda Waller: As you know, I was in charge of Project Cadmus. Over the years I came to respect Batman, even trust him.
Terry McGinnis: 'Guess the law of averages means somebody'd have to.
Amanda Waller: Did you know I was the government liaison with the Justice League for a while? I met some extraordinary people in that job, but none of them were the equal of Batman.
Terry McGinnis: [sarcastically] Right, who could be?
Amanda Waller: Not my point! I saw him save the day dozens of times with nothing but his wits, body and will. But I saw something else as the years passed. He was getting older, slower. Soon he would have to retire or, more likely, someone would finally manage to kill him. The thought of a world without Batman was unacceptable. So I decided to make a new one. I used my old Cadmus connections to gather the technology necessary for Project Batman Beyond.

:wow:

Waller: Bruce's DNA was easy to obtain...he left it all over town.
Terry: :merchant:
Waller:  Not remotely what I meant!

I have a feeling that Bruce Timm, James Tucker, and Dwayne McDuffie (RIP) all did a collective :smugbiden: when that got past the 'Television Standards ad Practices' and was cleared to air.

So much piff being dropped in this thread... so much piff I never even knew about..

Yo I always wondered about the Near Apocalypse of '09... I used to think that it was Ra's teaming with Darkseid and it was really the Near APOKOLIPS of '09

Anybody got a link to all the planned stuff for the DCAU that never came to fusion and maybe even a link to a site that lists what happened in the comics when Bruce retired or why he left the League? I'd like to know how he dealt with Alfred's death however he died as well if it was ever explained.

I actually didn't watch the full series until 2009 when I just binge watched the whole thing. Very underrated. And everyone has said what I wanted to say about Epilogue already.

That being said, the flashback in ROTJ to Batman's final face off with the Joker was the best part of that movie.

The way Batman's voice just goes cold when he says "I'll break you in two" :wow:

Joker showing Batman what he did to Robin and then topping it off with "If you don't like the movie ... I've got slides!" :troll:

That would be dope to see the likes of Ra's al Ghul interacting with the Justice League while he was taking them down. GL John Stewart, Wally West, J'onn and everyone.

Man you cats were tough as kids LOL. I didn't care, if the show said "batman" "spider-man" or anything else, I was watching. No matter how much I love the previous show. Spider-Man went on and Spider-Man unlimited came on and I was right there with my bowl of cereal loving it. Batman went off Batman Beyond came out, made no difference to me

Lol yea I was a little picky, still a little upset about them not don't the animated series anymore. It like when a show ends I still wanted to know what happened to the other characters from the last show. Can't just jump me 50+ years later. I was kinda mad at avatar for the same thing.

Nostalgia aside, the show was mad inconsistent and never lived up to the promise of the best season 1 episodes.......until Return of the Joker.

Justice League was to blame, all of the writing went towards that.

but it was well invested
