He's talking about when they were in their prime , that was the response from most of them back then , it's just recently now that they're getting commended by them .. Ask them what they were listening to in 2002 - 2006 bet you they can't even tell you when certain mixtapes came out without doing research .

Obviously 50 got wild street cred , but some of that shyt is wild fabricated . If 50 didn't snitch why would 50 need a restraining order from black child ? the only way for that to occur is if nikkas is giving info there's no way feds is givin out involuntary restraining orders unless the nikka is a mass murder not for a minor stabbing and not to mention the shyt he said in Ghetto Quran played a role in gettin murder inc studio raided and preme getting locked . The only reason I said that is because nikkas be acting like 50 is some invincible street thug straight from a novel like nothing can't happen to him when he took L's like any regular person would in the streets and dipset is no stranger for L's so nikkas don't even have to go in to depth about that but on a street level not mainstream dipset was in way more peoples rotation than Gunit . The word hipster wasn't even a real term back then like it is now. This fixation with hood rappers peaked only a few years ago biggest example is Pitchfork and Chief Keef and then turned into phrasing who was hot back in the day (Cam, Three 6, Master P etc). It's nostalgia bruh, it happens. Most white rap fans back in the early aughts aren't even into rap anymore but they'll chime in and ask "What ever happen to Cam'ron?"
