Woke up and just saw this on ESPN. At first I thought it was a Waiters for Smith deal and that all Cavs got was JR Smith and laughed but getting Shump plus a draft pick :ehhh:. Still :pachahaha:@ them plus the Knicks for doing this when Im not sure it makes everyone better. Not sure how Waiters is gonna feel in OKC with Russy and KD getting all the shots.

It literally doesn't matter who OKC has though, their aspirations of winning lies on the hope that their playing style comes through for them :ehh:

The Durant-Westbrook dynamic of having two star players shoot 20+ times with the 3rd guy being the 6th man. Team structure and personal moves would matter if their #2 in Russell was a more traditional PG so they run more of an structured offense but unfortunately he's not :ehh:

Jackson, Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, and soon to be Waiters are all oozing with talent but when you're playing with the best scorer in the game and a shoot first PG your role suffers. OKC imo would be better with specialists than the young talent they stack. Make Jackson your 3rd scorer and surround the bench with scrapers and shooters :ehh:

JR Smith :camby:BUT
What if Cavs get Sixth Man of the Year JR :patrice:
And what if Shumpert becomes a respectable 16-20 pts, 6 boards, 4 assists and 1 steal type of player fukking with LeGOAT James? :lupe:
:wow:

With our luck, that's exactly how it will play out. Shump is going to be playing with something to prove, and people are really hating on JR, but I think him with Kyrie is going to be a good tandem. Jr is had his best coming off the bench & being a 3rd/4th scoring option. Look back to his years in Denver as example. Bron, Kyrie, Love, JR, Shump, Tristan, Mike Miller & the Matix off the bench, that's a pretty decent squad on paper, let's see how their chemistry is. Plus Shump & Kyrie HAVE TO STAY HEALTHY for this to work.
