I think 2 whole people should bring themselves instead of looking for someone else to do something for them.

If you have an agenda you'll over look the lack of compatibility to get your need met which is why the vast majority of relationships fail.

People love to date someone lacking so they can have leavage which makes relationships toxic.

If you need nothing from me and I need nothing for you then we can see if we are actually compatible. That's why you see so many unhappy couples. In it for the wrong reasons. If you don't need anything from anyone it's easy to walk away from relationships that don't serve you.

But we live in the age of users and lack of self reflection. That's why these people deserve the relationships they get. How can a user be a victim? I don't feel sorry of either side.

I see but how does that relate to 50/50? is it an agenda or a preference? For instance if I say I like women who are educated, go to work, and would like to look at the family as unit to contribute to and set a good example for our kids. That is something I'd need from a woman I plan on being serious with. 50/50 seems in that aspect to be more of a preference rather than a needing something from someone since both people coming in would be fully capable of sustaining themselves. Don't you think?
I think it falls flat when it is a man only looking to use a woman's income to supplement his own because he cannot survive alone. That is different.

If a man makes $100k and can feed a family of 4, fine. But if the wife can bring in $80k, that's $180k, that's a lot of damn money.

Because they want to use their money to shop, trips, etc. What's the point of being married or a monogamous relationship with someone when you have the mindset of his money is our money and my money is my money.
