Dilbert comic strip was kind of funny, but I haven't seen it in years. The cartoon was funny too. It's genuinely sad that this is the viewpoint that he has.

I'm happy that I'm from NYC and I grew up around all sorts of people, so I don't have such views.

I saw the post about him being mad that UPN chose to focus on Black-centric shows, but... that's life. His people should have tried to shop his show somewhere else.

*I know my brother has a collection of his comic strips, and he might even have the DVD. In my family we separate the person from the art though, so I won't be getting on tik tok and destroying any of those anytime soon.

I like when white people are mask off racist.
Goofy morons keep talking about Trump.
This motherfukker has likely felt this way HIS ENTIRE DAMN LIFE
it has VERY LITTLE to do with Trump.

Y'all stay talkin' about Trump like white people just got racist seven years ago.

fukk this piece of shyt.
fukk Dilbert.
And I pray worms crawl through his body soon.

This is true. However, Trump made them more comfortable saying it out loud. That’s why they love him. White people were dying to start saying those things publicly. But there was a time when it was unpopular to do so. That’s why they complain about political correctness. Plus social media became popular during Obama’s second term. So we started seeing how they truly feel. I’ve mentioned I had to start to dismiss my white friends after Trayvon, and completely after Mike Brown. That whole “We’re going to bash black people, but not you, you’re one of the good ones” energy was my wake-up call. I have no problem admitting that. I keep my relationships with white people very much on a surface level, and only if they are of some financial value.

This message is full of spelling and grammatical errors, yet he’s trying to prove his race is superior.

Rioting over hot sauce, and we don’t own pets

:heh:

#catset

:unimpressed:

The fact that white people still think black kids are sagging their jeans should tell you how ignorant and corny these motherfukkers are.

That shyt ain't been hot for ten whole years. nikkas tryna be GQ nowadays. Anonymous need to get his stereotypes together.

Dilbert was always wack as shyt, pure trash. I didn’t have the words as a kid to articulate it but I knew it wasn’t for me and dilbert was a lame wack, dry dikk bytch:manny: . I would always skip it and read Calvin & Hobbs,B.C, Hagar, and of course the goat comic Curtis :salute:

Breh, Calvin and Hobbes the GOAT newspaper comic. Undisputed.

:banderas:

My man's Bill Watterson coulda had the life of Schultz and Jim Davis. Saturday morning cartoons, toys, clothes, a flick. Calvin and Hobbes had every right to be as big as Peanuts, and Im sure he got the offers. But dude REFUSED to ever commercialize Calvin and Hobbes in any way. Period. He could have EASILY turned the shyt into a major license. But he was all about the craft. That is true fukking character man. One of the all time great cartoonists

:banderas:

fukking Curtis was the shyt man. There was Curtis and Cosby Show and I couldn't see a better representation of black folks in a medium back in the day.

:banderas:

Shout out to Doonesbury (for the illustrations alone), Marmaduke, Blonde, and Beetle Bailey while we at it.

:banderas:

Man, a lil nikka use to love his ocmics.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was also complicit with The Boondocks being removed from newspapers back in the day. He & Aaron McGruder was under the same publication syndicate, plus he wrote some passive aggressive stuff about him ...

:sas2:

________________________
Maybe you heard that the comic strip Boondocks is taking a six month hiatus. The creator, Aaron McGruder apparently doesn’t have enough time because he’s working on his animated TV show.

The interesting part is that he hasn’t drawn the strip himself for years. According to an interview I read, he considers himself more of a writer than an artist anyway.

I imagine Stephen King rolling over in his grave when he hears that McGruder doesn’t have time to write his four sentences per day for the strip. I realize Stephen King is still alive, but I assume he sleeps in a grave anyway.

Believe me – I understand how hard it is to work on an animated TV show, unless you have a big writing staff like the Simpsons. It’s literally 100 times harder than writing a comic strip. But still – four sentences? Come on.

So I started to wonder what sorts of writing jobs could be easier than writing comics. The only thing I could think of was writing traffic signs.

“Hmm… I need a sign indicating that the motorist should cease all forward motion. I’ve got it: STOP! Man, I’m burnt out now. I’d better take the rest of the day off.”

White boy big mad the uppity negro went on to turn his strip into one of the greatest and most controversial animated television shows ever, and moved on to a tremendous TV career, while he went on to being nothing but a Donald Trump dikk rider.

:mjlol:

Probably sits home bitter as fukk every day "it's only because he was black!"

Nah, that book and DVD set are over 20 years old. Haven't seen any of his stuff recently.

Still, if I was actively buying it, you would have a point though. No need to empower them with dollars if they're out here spreading hate.

this guy said every day he sees videos of black people beating up white people :laff:

It's easy to believe. The internet is extremely compartmentalized... and some of those compartments are extremely racist.

What's much harder to believe is the writer of Dilbert was doing something positive for the black community, but now he's gonna hold back.:russ:

Edit: "Targeted" is probably a better word than "compartmentalized"...

Didn't see that coming. I remember listening to a podcast where he was the guest and he seemed cool. Oh well...

He’s always been like this. Good. Let me know who’s who, and none of that fake shyt. Stay where you at, and ima be where I’m at. Keep it cordial and there won’t be any issues, but fukk around and cross that line and you’ll find out.

What kills me is all the likes. White people truly feeling oppressed.
