I think they failed to really transition the cast into adulthood, while bring on newer characters. People give Season 1 a hard time, but I like it. It's Season 6 that isn't good, and season 5 barely holds on. There was 0 reason for Dwayne, Whitley & Ron to still be at Hillman after they graduated. Keeping the focus on them hurt the later years. Freddie and Kim were strong enough characters, Jalesa was the adult that it made sense to be there...I think Lena & Charmaine...and Terrell should've been the focus.
