At the end of the day, it all comes down to the jobs report due out on Friday.

If it's good (or at least shows something positive), Obama will probably win. It'll be a post convention momentum booster Team Romney will not be able to overcome.

But, if it's bad, it'll kill any momentum Team Obama gets out of the convention. It'll also allow Team Romney to begin the relentless assault via their ad buys in key states. The assault will continue until election day.

In sum:

Good jobs report on Friday: Obama wins

Bad jobs report (or no change from last month's report): Obama loses.

Nobody said that any of the Blue States were up for grabs. The point made was that Romney and his Pacs will begin carpetbombing those states with attack ads as a way to force the Obama side to spend money defending themselves there when they normally wouldn't have to do so.
Its the same thing Obama did to McCain in 08.
Back then it was devestating to Mccain because he was running for office with about $6.89 in the bank; for Obama it will just be a huge annoyance and distraction that forces them to do more in states that they had no plans to work hard in.

I never said it was going to win Romney the race, just that it was going to be a tactic he will use. And history shows that a candidate doesn't spend as much in areas that are solidly leaning his way because he doesn't have to which is why this tactic is used by opposing candidates with deeper pockets.

The turnout wont be like 08 but who said it needs to be, democrats will turnout because of what the republican platform has become, and the independants will side with obama more than romney in swing states. No one is saying its going to be a landslide but if you think romney is going to win well then there nothing I can say about that shyt.

Obama's ground game is unmatched. A lot of those offices have been in place for 4 years already since the last go round.

I know a chick who was in charge of organizing in Cleveland Ohio in 08. The pay is decent at best and you have to work literally 12-14 hour days pretty much every day from convention to election day.

You have to actually believe in your candidate and have to get people to agree with that. It also helps when you have young people and students working for you.

Romney could never match that with old rich men. He'd have to pay probably twice as much as the Obama campaign to get people to work that hard...

Like I said obama is not losing, he has the black vote, hispanic vote, women vote, asian vote, and independants the only vote he doesn't have is the middle age republican white vote. So how exactly is obama gonna lose?
