Small shyt compared to what Puff was doing in the grand scheme. Dre was more involved in the talent and development than Suge was.
I gave you examples of Suge advising on style, and music. What was puff doing, besides being all in the videos that Suge didn't do?

Dre would lose on that tip but when he did make an R&B track it was classics

That's the point I'm making, Diddy would lose. In a live event, Diddy can't play R&B against Dre Day or whatever. The crowd will be hip-hop. While Dupri, I think, would have to stay R&B against Diddy's street records. Diddy's street records can go toe to toe with Dre's.

Dupri would wash Diddy

He’s gonna try to pull out all that Biggie shyt but let Dupri bring in Usher and Mariah it’s over.

Diddy gon smash him. I'm about numbers when talking who did what. But when jd played confessions after puff played all them records, I knew he was confused.
Confessions (the song) is average asf, DESPITE it's success. That album selling 10 million won't mean anything in verzuz.

JD-Puff is a more fitting match up than people realize

Looking at their credits I agree but like someone else said JS does have a really good matchup when it comes to R&B his joints with Usher and Mariah are literally some of the biggest songs of their era but I when it comes to hip hop diddy will wash him

You know
I'm not feeling the executive producer verzuz. Because damn near any label head stamps exec on shyt they didn't even really do. That's kind of corny to me.
That’s like saying Clive Davis “produced”those Whitney And Alicia key’s albums :mjlol:. Diddy wants you to think he came up with the music on his own. We know what it really is though

This is completely different. Clive Davis ain’t sitting up in the studio telling people what notes to sing. How to sound. Telling the engineers to tweak this and that. Add this and that.

Puff was in the studio coaching on singing and how the shyt should sound. He’s telling the producers what sounds should be on the song. Telling the rappers how to rap on the song. Getting on stage with the artists during rehearsals teaching them how to perform. Sitting in the studio all night making sure shyt sounds right. And most of all. Actually performing and recording music himself. He’s not Suge. Diddy has a successful solo music career.

nikkas dont understand Diddy is not hands on like JD but he’s not hands off like ur standard executive either. He’s VERY involved in the music making process and how he wants it to turn out. He falls somewhere in the middle between a JD and a Suge and that’s why it’s hard to really place him.

Yup, exactly

I remember Mary talking how involved Puff was with her albums and how much he helped her record that album.

And it’s the same with Jodeci, Biggie, Total, 112, Mase, The Lox, Black Rob, Shyne etc

he sees the whole album process through and is involved every step of the way with it

Puff has the vision, he’s a visionary
