About 365 local and regional organizations in Haiti have formed a 13-member commission to find solutions to the country’s ongoing sociopolitical crisis.

The “Commission to Search for a Haitian Solution to the Crisis” is made up of representatives from the Episcopal Church of Haiti, the Protestant Federation of Haiti, the Federation of Bars and the Vodou sector.

============================
If political actors seek the good offices of the organization of American States, to play the role of mediator in the search for a solution to the socio-political crisis which agitates the country, the 363 national and regional organizations and groups opt for a Haitian solution. This crisis can be resolved without the support of foreigners, believe the heads of these structures, which for about two months have not ceased to multiply meetings with a view to adopting a common position.

At the end of these exchanges, carried out in the 10 geographic departments of the country and in the diaspora, it was decided to create a commission called: "Commission for the search for a Haitian solution to the crisis". It is made up of: Reverend Father Frantz Joseph Casséus, of the Episcopal Church of Haiti; Monique Clesca; Magalie Comeau Denis from Kolektif Atis Angaje; Pastor Jean Kisomaire Duré, of the Protestant Federation of Haiti; Me Evens Fils, from the Federation of Haitian Bars; Magalie Georges, of the Haitian Trade Unions Collective for Respect of the Constitution; Louis Joël Joseph, from the Platform of Farmer Organizations 4G Kontre; Sabine Manigat, from the Platform of Feminist Organizations; Michel Payan, from the Haitian Society for Aid to the Blind; Maxime Rony, from POHDH; Jaques Ted Saint-Dic, committed citizen; Wilfrid Saint Juste, from the Vodou Sector and a representative of the Haitian Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development, which has not yet appointed its representative.

Pending the development of the roadmap, the initiators inform that this commission remains open to representatives of other sectors of society who understand the merits of the approach, and who express a desire to participate in it. It must be said that this commission is supported by the monitoring committee of the forum of civil society organizations, composed of 7 members. James Beltis / of Nou pap Domi; Bonivert Claude / of the Crusade for the Development and Progress of Haiti; Myrtha Desulmé / of the Haitian Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development; Marc Dorvil / of the Haitian Trade Union Collective for respect for the constitution; Sylvain Exantus / of the Redemption Haiti Foundation; Jean-Marie Raymond Noel / of the Union and Support Committee for Municipalities; And Edouard Paultre / from the Coalition of Civil Society Actors.

Note that the members of the "Commission for the search for a Haitian solution to the crisis", and those of the monitoring committee of the forum of civil society organizations, met on Tuesday, with a view to the distribution of tasks , and to set a deadline for producing their respective reports
