Akinyele and Kool G. Rap

Akinyele was wildin' though.

The antics with him at the time, and the track with G Rap is why he lost his deal and got his album pulled from the shelves. Women said they would boycott any Hip Hop magazine that featured him. He was going on campaigns saying that beating women was "normal" and he kept doubling down on how in the hood stomping out a pregnant chick was a form of abortion for dudes with no money. Dude was buggin'!!

Of course. Mostly everyone from my era knows about Tarrie B. She was another chick that Dre had punched and she recorded a diss track on her album dissing Dre about it. She even stated that he used Ultimate Breaks and Beats for his samples hahaha. She was also dating Everlast as well. This is no mystery. She was always talked about in the hip hop magazines back then. I bought them faithfully. And as Hex mentioned, CPO was another act produced by MC Ren. Did you also know Yomo and Maulkie was another Rutheless group that initially did "for the love of money" years before Yella aso gave the same beat to Bone

That's why I try to stress history to hip hop fans on things. If you dig into Rap a lot's discography, yall would be amazed at the amount of classic/hot albums they have of artists that many of you didn't know existed such as Too much Trouble, 5th ward boys, and Blac monks

Lots of stuff was too raw to get onto an album

And then one about LGBT bashing by Tribe

akinyele had a song from his debut album called "I luh huh"(my favorite song from the album). There is no way possible a song like that can be made today. That entire album was producd by Large Pro with scratches by Rob Swift. On the song, he talks about his girlfriend getting pregnant and that he doesn't want her to keep the baby. He suggests abortion, having his man kick her in the stomach, or pushing her down a flight of steps. After all the shyt he talks during the song, on the last bar he finally says, "don't get me wrong, I still luh huh..." AND THEY GOT A VIDEO FOR THIS shyt!!!

I don't remember a group of white guys sounding like Onxy. The only group I remember blatantly biting onxy was the Cutthroats, who were co-signed by Guru

Two little kids signed to Michael Jackson’s label. The white one is the creh who accused him of child molestation years later.

A flute player was mentioned earlier. His name was Jimmy Z.

The Beastie Boys was moving units, so it was only natural to pull an Elvis.

Everyone was trying to get a white avatar back then.

Wu Tang had Remedy (Remedy might have even paid to be an affiliate..NYC cats gonna have to fact check me tho)

Cypress Hill with House of Pain and then The Whooliganz (Alchemist (the big time producer) and Scott Caan - both dudes from Beverly Hills)

I'd have to really dig in the crates to remember some of the others.

New schoolers wanna talmbout "the culture" and "no industry plants back in the day" - lol

:heh: I can't see Remedy without thinking how he said "for all the white kids that just wanna be black" on the b-side to his single
