I know the Kings are shyt and all, but the Sonics/Thunder were in the same spot the Kings were in not to long ago. Young promising players with problems and owners not knowing what the hell they doing or wanting to get the fukk out of town.

Sonics/Thunder got sold and were moved to OKC. Kings in the same spot except their owners losing so much money, the only thing they got left is the Kings.

I wouldn't even be shocked if the Kings end up being sold and moving to Seattle and they become the Sonics, them making the same type of leap the Thunder made, I ain't sure about that.

I dont see a Kevin Durant on the Kings breh

LOL at nikkas in here simpin for a city they have no relations or tax dollars too. Seattle's attendance was str8 :flabbynsick: and nikkas was on sohh, I remember putting up links knowing damn well Seattle was not going to last with the sonics when Mr.Starbucks sold the team to country ass bennett (mind you a year after we had the hornets for 2 years). Fast forward 3 years to now and yall nikkas with this fake ass outrage is DISGUSTING. :youngsabo:

I understand the logic here, but let's be honest.

It's not to say that just b/c this team was Seattle that they would be in the Finals now.

The location of the team still comes into play for a variety of aspects. Who's to say these dudes wouldnt get in more trouble in a place like Seattle vs OKC? Who's to say they would be a closer knit group in Seattle rather than OKC? Who's to say the support of the crowd would be as key a factor as it's been in OKC?

That's like some guy from Alabama saying, "if I just lived in LA, I'd be a famous superstar right now"

Well maybe you would and maybe you wouldn't. There's alot of factors that would play into that.

if you dont know any background reasons for why things turned out the way they were in Seattle, then shut the fukk up.

The Seattle former Sonic majority owner, Howard Schultz who sold the team to Clay Bennett knowing full well what was going to happen, alienated the players like Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton and got rid of both guys. He also alienated the city in trying to get a new arena. That team ended up sucking and fans were pissed at the owners. The Seattle fans loved that team for 40 years and gave them a lot of love and it turned sour with a bad owner who sold the team knowing that Bennett was going to move it, and one move was trading Ray Allen for nothing. Why give money to something that is about to move. Especially since emails were leaked about Bennett trying to leave Seattle with Stern cosigning and then they tried tried to back track. It was completely fukked up, and they fukked that city over because Stern liked Bennett.

I understand the logic here, but let's be honest.

:what:

and the Kings fan who is upset about them potentially moving to Seattle is 100% right. Its a vicious cycle. These franchises and leagues try to bully cities and then hold their heads to a gun unless they give up money. Its literally owners being professional stick up kids.

I live in Seattle but not a fan, just kinda heartwrenching that I could have dropped an immense amount of money on watching a Durant/Russy/Harden vs Brawny/Wade/Posh final series game live :wow:
