I always said 2pac was the newer version of Ice T.

New Jack City solidified him.

Didnt get into Ice T until the 2 Nasty 4 Radio compilation album came out in 1991. The title of the album with the Parental Advisory was enough to spark my 12 year old interest. This was when I also discovered Grand Daddy IU and The Gza

I always felt musically Nas tries to follow his blueprint of not having beats that could drown out what he’s saying because Ice never spit on anything too wild even by those standards. Evil E gave him simple shyt but it didn’t matter because Ice was spittin gems.

I remember going through his discography back in high school and that album OG-Original Gangster really impressed me

First rapper I stanned

Check the avi

OG, return of the real and 7th deadly sin are personal classics

His early stuff was before my time since I grew up mostly on 90s rap

7th Deadly Sin was dope.

Ice to me is like one of those artists that you really don't think about, but when you look back at, you realize how many great/classic tracks he had.

He was a really dope rapper whose complete albums I couldn’t really get into. Colors and Mind Over Matter are goat songs though
