No they don’t. I remember when John McCain played Born in the USA. A very anti Vietnam and war song in general, on top of being about a broken system. And not just him, a bunch of conservatives politicians rock out to his song, and it’s like are you even listening to what he’s saying :heh:

This is one of the greatest finesse hooks in music history. He had the whole Republican sphere sucking his dikk in the 80s because they couldn’t get past the hook.

I remember going to some of the most black specific Bob Marley songs like Redemption Song and Catch a Fire and would be laughing at some of the comments, "This song is about all of us you see because we were all slaves at one time.. One Love!", "This song is actually about.. class struggle.. race has nothing to do with it!"

The vast majority of folks at PE concerts are white people. These days anyway.
nah that was always the case because PE toured with and recorded some songs with some rock/punk bands that crossed them over way early in their career with that audience and they have been a loyal fanbase. doesn't mean they are "clueless" white people a lot of them are punks or people with similar values. they understand the content.
