Did Wakanda get exposed in Infinity War, or was it simply under utilized.

I'm actually glad this thread got upped because people were asking "why didn't they use those ships like in 'Black Panther'?" but you do see them crashing after Thanos snaps his fingers.

I didn't even notice them either of the two times I seen this in theaters.

Its about the size of Rwanda, looking at the map at the beginning of black panther, not big at all

They didn't scale Wakanda's response like Iron Man's tech does. Wakanda has more resources but Marvel brought out the same weapons from Black Panther 1. Seems like they could have revealed more weapons or MOAB or something, but didn't because of the time travel plot in Infinity Gaunlet.
because both movies were filmed at the same time probably

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
as I’ve gotten older the answer is simple. Wakanda evolved into a peaceful nation that relied on anonymity and stealth. They were hidden from the rest of the world. They had no enemies so they never build a military or offensive weapons. They were anti colonizers. So when Thanos people came and even Namor, they weren’t prepared because they never had to deal with anyone attacking them directly. Killmonger tried to change that but he wasn’t in power long enough. I don’t even think they had a real military.

thats not a simple answer. its the logical one.

the simple one is more likely the writer thought conflict would make for a more interesting story. than the wakandans simply being invincible and defeating every enemy with ease ending every movie in 30 minutes or less

Look at it this way. The word that was used by Shuri in BP was colonizer. History shows us that colonizers came to native countries and dominated them due to their technology. The natives weren’t prepared or equipped to deal with outsiders attacking them. They were secluding for centuries. Wakanda was basically the same. But their technology allowed them to remain hidden and untouched. So they never had to build a vast military. Even their war dogs were spies that blended in.

Oh no i agree, and that certainly makes sense. I just don't trust that the writers were thinking that deep about it.
They can't even figure out a blade movie. You think they behind the scene linking subtle hints at wakandan history and trusting the audience to figure it out?
I doubt it

Coogler and Joe Robert Cole wrote it.
