The answer to the question is not only NO, but Hell Nawl. He is still an a$$hole and people hate him.

Not only that, but Reagan was a sitting President when he was shot. So that is not a proper comparison. The proper comparison is George Wallace. He was running for President and was a racist like Trump. Getting shot didn't help George at all.

Its crazy how cacs don't see the do-over of what Reagan did is what Trump is trying to do:

  • Gutting medicare
  • Refusing to acknowledge a pandemic before it was too late
  • Shipping jobs overseas
  • Kissing the ring of dictators
  • Harmful policies for minorities
  • Hopeful speeches to con the common dumbass
  • Giving rural America hope while consistently fukking them over
  • Even the failed assassination attempt was what it was
  • Crack era/opiates
Now with that being said, Trump been on the red dot since 2016, and its just a matter of time until karma catches dude slipping. While it may not be a bullet, it will be something that wish that bullet would had sealed his fate :francis:

So many of you believe in the "reasonable voter".

This is how Hilary lost last time.

:laff:

I'm not predicting this election but this bullshyt about "Oh people will think this or think that because the would be assassin believed this or believed that"
is a GROSS oversimplification of politics in America.

Wrong. You'd have a point if he wont he popular vote.

We already know that a lot of people do like him. But not enough to the point that the majority of voters voted for him.
Popular vote is irrelevant, votes in swing states are all that matters. The assassination attempt will drive turnout. What to Dems have to drive opposite turnout besides, "Trump Bad"? They had Covid and George Floyd summer in 2020.

If this happened a year ago, I'd agree it wouldn't have much of an effect. We're 4 months out now.

You have have the WOAT analysis. Heavy turnout favors Democrats, because there are more Democratic voters than there are Republican voters. That is why Republicans work to suppress Democratic turnout in elections, by shutting down polling locations, working with Russian disinformation agencies, making it hard for African Americans to vote. Heavy turnout equals Republican losses. Heavy turnout in Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Pennsylvania equal a really bad loss for Republicans.

If you believe that there are "Russian Bots" afoot, it's kinda hard to even have a realistic analysis of anything going on.

Like, part of even understanding the political landscape is understanding that these perspectives, ideas and views 100% do exist and they aren't a fabrication conjured up by right wing agents or people in another country.

two totally different scenarios. reagan. for all his faults, and there were plenty, was generally liked by the public.

trump is hated by most of the public and doesn’t have the same appeal that reagan held with his congenial, measured, grandfatherly disposition.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
People are comparing two different generations of voters
Yeah one could say adopters and voters of Reagan were culitists
But this shyt here is feeding in to Trumps lore and making him some kind of weird symbol of hope and martyrdom
These idiots are feeding off this shyt
Reagan was purely about keeping white folks rich in his campaign and using Russia as a boogeyman prop
Trump is being used by Russia
There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE
