Nurture has a strong role in that...
The Dream has no slave ancestry, and he's arguably one of the most prolific ballers ever... Nurture
Ibaka has no slave ancestry... :nurture
Emmanuel Mudiay has no slave ancestry, but was raised mostly in the states..... Nurture
Mutumbo
Deng
Igoudala (I think)
O Koye
Osi
Nhamdi
Suh (I think)
and so on... Yall are oversimplifying this.... shyt is way more complicated than that
You are over simplifying . Nature my ass, a 5'0 African would have been no use for slave work. In Mexico when the Spaniards conquered they tried to use Native Americans as slaves but they were dying from over work/over heat/they just weren't built as sturdy as the African man. Keep in mind that you had to have a certain level of physical capability in order to have survived through the slave years. That means alot of the slaves that were weaker physically died off and eventually they were completely removed from the gene pool. African Americans dominate almost every sport there a 5'2 African male was completely useless for slavery, why would they pay money to have that individual shipped when there were 6'2 Africans? If you keep breeding tall and strong africans over and over, eventually the average height/strength for african americans is going to go up.
