This.

I personally don't think his legacy is ruined because he's still playing at a high level. To me, he's Jerry Rice on the Raiders, yunno? Not quite what he used to be, but still pretty gotdamn effective out that bytch.

That said....if he were to somehow get a ring in the next year or two? Oh, the haters won't be able to say shyt.

:what:
How is he playing at a high level when he's barely even playing? He's averaging about 1 catch a game. And Jerry Rice with the Raiders was a pro bowl player, so I don't see how they're comparable

These two opinions are part of the reason i made the thread jerry rice went to the pro bowl in oakland, montana led the chiefs to the playoffs, jordan still produced with the wizards, randy moss is being wasted in.sf and its messing up his legacy cause.he sure not adding to it so.far this season

why dont you speak for yourself. everyone who knows football or wasnt a toddler remembers montana playing for the chiefs.

:snoop:

You're missing the point. No one looks back at Joe Montana's career and points out how he was a KC Chief. When you think of Joe Montana, you think of the 49ers.

No one will look back at Randy Moss's career and point out how he was on the 49ers. People will either remember him on the Vikings when he was drafted, his horrible play on the Raiders or breaking records with Tom Brady on the Patriots. No one will remember him going back to the Vikings or his time with Tennessee...

those two things arent mutually exclusive. I remember joe as both.

I remember jerry on the raiders and seahawks, and not liking that.

I think all that goes out the window if he wins a title in San Fran.

People wouldn't be able to say shyt about "legacy" at that point.

If there WAS a reason why nobody remembered Montana on the Chiefs (and for the record, I disagree with you on that because that Monday night game with him vs. Elway is still ranked as one of the most classic MNF matchups of all time...just one of many memorable instances of that team during that era), it's probably because they didn't win the title that year.

If Moss wins a title with this San Fran team, he can ride off into the sunset on some real shyt.
