I think the sudden spectre of the unknown and possible death, polarization about how to deal with the virus, along with rapid currency inflation accelerated the everyman for himself attitude that was already inherent within our culture. For better or worse, being forced to move more inward actually made some of us stronger and helped with cutting off people that were toxic to them well before the pandemic hit though. It's definitely changed social dynamics as far as being out too, so it's going to be interesting seeing the long term repercussions of this.
