Pelle Pelle was around way before and after Avirex though. Pelle had the bright colored soda clubs that the Fresh Prince used to rock. Martin used to rock Pelles all the time on the show.:martin: There's a pic of Nas rocking the Picasso leather in like 91-92'. Avirex was only really hot nationwide in the mid to late 90's and early 2000's. But the all over stitched Pelle's with the designs were big in NYC in the early to mid 2000's. So were the blank butter soft baseball style leathers. Then, the whole Ed Hardy rock star shyt of the mid to late 2000's influenced the rinestone design Pelle leathers. And a few years ago, Pelle started retroing the classic early 90's Pelles. I guess they musta not been selling well. :ld:

Above the fray.
Them joints was expensive. And the trends dont last long. Same thing with the Avirex Jackets from the 90s. Another big leather company marketed to Blacks. They had a white owner and they stopped selling urban leathers one day overnight it seemed. I believe they're still in business but sell replica ww2 bomber jackets.
Avirex shut down Timberland on the streets for a time. I wanna say around the era when CNN's The War Report came out.

Nah, but Pelle was a staple in NYC and the Midwest. NY nikkas and Pelle leathers is actually a meme for real. :russ: From the early 90's to recently. Back in the early 90's, literally every rapper on TV had one on in a video. Will Smith wore one on Fresh Prince. Gang Starr, Nas, Biggie, Jay Z, Mobb Deep etc. either name dropped Marc Buchanan leathers or had a pic wearing one. All of them drill rappers from Chicago wore em. ASAP Ferg and them were customizing the classic retro Soda Clubs like two years ago. And boom, overnight, gone. :unimpressed:
NOBODY loved Pelle Pelle more than Philly.

What happened though? Did high end really kill classic hood fashion? :picard: It seem like it. Everybody who use to wear Pelle leathers, True Religions and Nike Boots wearing Balenciagas and Moncler coats. Even though Moncler and Gucci have made it clear they don't want black people wearing their shyt. :stopitslime:

Baltimore nikkas used to rock them shyts hardbody too.

I ain't never heard of that and I've lived in Maryland for hella long. But then again, I moved to Maryland in the late 90's. So I don't how it was in the early 90's. I know Baltimore nikkas were on Avirex like that in the late 90's and early 2000's. People on here musta never been to NYC when it's cold outside. :stopitslime: Harlem known for them shyts especially. Cam'Ron, Juelz, Jimmy, Big L, Mase and ven Dave East wore them all the time. I know Pelles are synonymous with the Bronx.

nikka typing essays and didn't even know a cac made em shyts

:mjlol:

Really? The only white men I've seen wear Pelle leathers were Ted Danson on Cheers and Shawn Michaels in 1995. :hhh: Pelles are hood nikka apparel. You must be at least 6' and have been exposed to a certain amount of lead paint and gun violence to wear one.
