Sony needs to come back with that "WELCOME BACK" shyt again since they dragging ass on this. :feedme::ehh:
2 day outage compared to 30 day outage+ personal data compromised. Totally diff situations breh

NeoGAF had breakdown of cost on this outage and some gems on the compensation thing

Basically thanks to the ToS you accepted (if you're an XBL/PSN member that means you), you're really not owed anything by Sony/MS for any downtime. Any offerings from either one would be if they need good PR due to the media blowing the situation out of proportion. If you feel this is unacceptable then the only recourse is cancel your XBL Gold/PS+ membership or don't reup since the ToS explicitly states that you accept their may be downtime on the service and they aren't held liable for it (Sony updated their ToS immediately after the 2011 PSN outage to include you forfeiting any legal action against Sony for any period of downtime with the service)

And anyone thinking they're getting free games need to set their expectations WAY lower. According to the NeoGAF breakdown, you essentially lost $0.40 cause of the downtime. At most Sony/MS will give a free month of Live/PS+ (which both have free games with the sub anyway). That's IF they feel like doing it as the XBL/PSN ToS states you're not owed or entitled to anything for downtime for the services.

Sony had no choice but to offer compensation after the 2011 outage due to the shytstorm of negative PR and people feeling burned and untrusting of Sony cause of the 30 day outage AND personal data being compromised as well. The tradeoff of the Welcome Back package was having to accept the new PSN ToS which forfeited your right to legal action against Sony for the outage and any period of downtime in the future as stated above (which leads us to right now)

Fair enough...I agree with that sentiment though. XBL been fukking up for a minute on the XB1 and they don't even give us anything for it. When Destiny dropped there was a point where we could'nt even play that shyt for a whole weekend. When GTA dropped we could'nt play that shyt that weekend too. We're paying money for this shyt. If it goes down for an entire weekend, the one time when damn near the entire country should be able to play, we should be compensated for it...some points...a free game...something.
