Neither Denver nor Knicks won, because at the end of the day they both can't win with those squads. Its going to be year after year of disappointment.

But the Knicks got a player than can generate money, so I guess that's the only positive out of all this.

:aicmon: Nuggets got some good young assets in Galo and Chandler and developed Lawson by including Billups in the trade to free up some more minutes for him. Nuggets might not win a title anytime soon but their in a much better position than the knicks are with their aging roster and bad contracts :flabbynsick:

:patrice: isnt the first round worse than the second round?? Your young assets gallo and faried both got hurt too and you lost in the first round again yes we won the trade until you guys actually go somewhere

only if you're James Dolan. :heh:

the Knicks have no young players (Shump is decent :ld:), cap flexibility, picks or assets. they're locked into their current roster and will have to depend on FA leftovers and Summer League scraps to fill out their team. they'll lose Copeland and the only way they'll keep JR is if the rest of the league wants nothing to do with him. (not exactly encouraging).

on the flip side, most Nuggets fans realized (even when the hype machine was getting out of control) that their team is talented but the flaws (no shooting, no post play, shaky interior D etc.) were too glaring to seriously contend for a championship. thankfully, we're led by a brilliant basketball mind that knows how to make this team better and acquired the assets to do it.

Did they play teams of the same caliber?

Celtics would have been the 12th seed out West. Stop talking like beating the Celtics was some huge accomplishment. IT WASN'T.

You guys beat the :flabbynsick: Celtics in 6 games. Think about that
The 8th seed Houston Rockets in the West could of swept the Celtics. :pachaha:
You would of lost to the Pacers in 5 games if Hill didn't have a concussion.

So whats this playoff success you talk about

Ironically both teams are stuck in the mud after the trade

:duck:

Gallo was out with a torn ACL and Faried had a bad ankle. I guarantee you if both were healthy the Nuggets would of won more playoff games than the Knicks. Nuggets had everything to gain and nothing to lose on the Melo trade.

Do you know what stuck in the mud means? it means being stuck as a good team but not a contending team

The Knicks ain't even a good team though :deadrose:
The Knicks were the 15th best team in the playoffs. The only team they were better than were the Celtics:old: who couldn't score more than 80 points. Even the Bucks:scusthov: could of beaten the Knicks with their predictable ISO plays
