No.The knicks are 7-14 in the playoffs and won one playoff series since acquring melo. They've done nothing of significance besides win the atlantic since he arrived. When they lose in the 1st round next season, next summer he's leaving the knicks to go to the lakers or heat
What have the nuggets won

Nuggets won and this is why. Melo was gonna leave anyway and the Nuggets where able to get Gallo, Chandler, Moz and some draft picks in return. Melo was never a superstar, he's just a volume scorer that puts up empty stats. Nuggets were never gonna win a title with Melo but they were able to stay competitive without him and will probably win 45+ games again next year and make the playoffs. Knicks on the other hand are in a lose lose situation. If Melo stays they have to pay him 20+ mil and be the 3rd to 5th best team in the East or let him go to LA and go back to being a lottery team. That's why the Knicks will collapse before the Nuggets do because Melo has so many flaws that your team has to make up for and Melo commands a max salary.

eh, i got no problem with the melo trade. At the end of the day, to me it was the Amare gamble that just didnt/seemingly wouldn't pay off now because he can't get healthy.

Role players come and go, and the older ones will always flock to ur team regardless if they feel u can title contend. So if it came down to Melo, Amare and Tyson as their would-be championship core, with a Shumpert and JR Smith rounding out their most talented 5 man lineup they could put out there (IMO)... well if everyone in that lineup were healthy and able to play 30+ minutes if need be, then i wouldn't find it delusional at all if a knick fan were to have as much confidence in *that* (hypothetical) squad as a bulls pacers or nets fan would have in their own teams beating the others down (or just beating any eastern team not MIA) and making it to the ECF.

Only issue is Amare can’t get healthy and he, to me, was just as big a necessary piece as Carmelo was as that ‘2nd superstar’. :yeshrug:

Gallo? Mozgov and chandler ? None are anywhere as good as melo in any shape way or form... And by the way you dot know anything about melo and the Knicks relationship the guy will be here for a long time you really should Wait till one of your predictions actually come true before you talk all this shyt .

The nuggets already collapsing :mindblown: niccas can't get out the first round . Oh and scoring title allstar and top 3 MVP candidate but not a superstar ? I guess the spurs , Kobe and the heat are the only superstars right ?

A healthy stat and Melo can't play with each other.

That's why the NBA is 5 on 5 and not 1 on 1. You guys gave up good assets so you could pay a one dimensional player 20+ mil a year and sell some extra jerseys. Just ask yourself this if Melo is a Superstar than why hasn't he had much playoff success. His peers Dwade and Bron have both had playoff success before they teamed up in Miami but Melo has never been able to elevate his team to the next level. The Knicks will get bounced in the first round next year cuz the Heat, Bulls, Nets, and Pacers are all better than the Knicks.

The problem with Lebron becoming the best player in the league is it has made casual fans hold everyone else to an impossible standard. Carmelo Anthony is elite now, and would be elite in any era. He was more than willing to take the challenge of bringing new york a chip. Melo can easily be the next Dirk type player to win it all.

Breh Melo is a chump in this era and would of have been a bigger chump in the 90's and 80's. Just cuz you score 25+ ppg doesn't make you a superstar. What does it tell you when Carmelo has one of the worst playoff records of all time. Is it to much to ask a "superstar" to elevate his team in the playoffs or is that not a requirement anymore.
