Did Jericho deserve his win against Rock and Stone Cold in the same night/match?

Michaels? Lol

Ehh. I know lol. I personally don't care for him, but I know the "Wrasslin" community does. It's interesting because Shawn if anyone else, is a glorified cruiser weight. Jericho got shelved for years because he wasn't big enough, yet a guy like Michaels with zero muscle can get the big matches and be booked with guys like Taker and Austin. Meanwhile guys like Eddie and Benoit had to resort to steroids and drugs just to impress the boss enough to get them booked. It's all politics.

They don't really care for him..he never produced anything for the business that made company changing money. Got pushed more than what his star was supposed to have been.

Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
Its like they built him up only for HHH to own him making HHH looking better than all of them

:mjlol:
Yep and that’s why neither Rock nor Austin won. How would it look for either of those nikkas to be transitional champs for fukkin Triple H? :heh: so Jericho unfortunately had to be the sacrificial lamb there and be that. That’s all it was.

Yeah, he deserved it for all the shyt he dealt with in WCW despite being the most entertaining young star there IMO. Plus it opened the door for Eddie, Benoit, etc. to win it later

:mjlol: I read in Jericho's book that Angle was bragging in the locker room about how he was going over in that match

I was team Jericho from his WWE debut. Always thought he looked cool and was funny and entertaining on the mic. With that said, looking back in hindsight idk if Jericho should've won that match. If I was Vince I would've gave that to Austin.

if you are asking this question.
I am Quite sure if you ever actually ranted.
any of this material leading up to.
or after that to Jericho losing to cripple ache.
you would not even be asking and phrasing this question.
in the manner you phrased it?

as you would know.
if someone astute was booking Jericho.
Plus any of the attitude era.
after a successful ringsports appearance by a black ring sports marketed drawing god in mike tyson.
similar to leeching off of mr. T from rocky.

that anyone could have done a better job at booking this product consistently than vkm.
the only reason this did not work is because of whatever whiteman's agenda and narcissistic revenue grab end game vkm has.
completely ruined the drawing envelope and high quality appealing content.
from ever being shown on network and cable television.

if anyone without that racist narcissistic agenda.
had a chance to have the same principals of the rock, Jericho and scsa there. This would have re-ignited the boom.
vkm fukked up by booking his company around his son in law.

"deserve" what does that even mean? :yeshrug:

but it was a copout to not have to have a legit winner between Rock and Austin. Rocky should have demanded his win back.

Jericho wasn't ready for that top spot anyway, as his "reign" showed

His reign looked like it did cause the WWE made it that way. If the WWE wants to push you and make you look like a big deal, they’ll do it. But with Jericho, they half assed it. Why the hell did they pair him with Stephanie:gucci:?? He shyt on her for more than a year straight and it was dumb as hell to do that. All for a failed HHH face run.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Yes, it was different and unexpected.

Everyone was ether picking Austin & Rock and I remember I picked Jericho to win the whole thing and someone in the AOL WWF Chat asked me why and I said, "Because it'd be different." I had no hope of it actually happening. Fast forward to the end of the night and I was like :leon:. Then I realized Jericho was keeping the title warm until HHH got back - which also turned out to be true too.

That's the problem.

Don't matter if it's Jericho or Hurricane fukkin Helms, whatever "genuine" efforts always end up feeling wasted.

Rock already had one foot out the door and is a "company man" so i get it.. but otherwise, if I were him I'd have been politicking on some "Look, yall cacs fukked me over in 15, 16, and 17... so I'm winning that undisputed damn title in WM 18. HHH or Hogan can have it at Backlash
full

nope.

he wasnt built the be the man.

and still isnt.

To establish him as a legit main eventer, yeah.

But they booked his title run like absolute shyt.

how so??

he then proceeded to go over the rock & stone cold again on back-to-back ppvs.

not to mention the feud with the rock leading up to the title wins.

Absolutely, but it was the best worst timing ever. Best because nobody called it and by that point Rock and Austin were beyond made. Jericho needed that to get to the next level.

Worst because of all the talent they were stacked with and would become stacked with overshadowing it. Not to mention it was booked like shyt. Triple H was white hot as a babyface and they have a legit long wrestlemania match to build up to and they end up feuding over a fukking dog? Seriously? It was just stupid. Nothing was gonna top Rock/Hogan but people wouldn’t shyt on it so much if it wasn’t booked so awfully.

The chickenshyt heel is good when done right but they made Jericho TOO chicken shyt to the point where beating Rock and Austin was almost in vain. Looking back too his promos got so over the top that it was hard to take him seriously.

I thought no at the time, I still think no. I didn’t mind Jericho being a top guy or a champion though but I don’t think they had to make him beat 2 of the biggest stars ever on the same night. I would of actually preferred an amazing match and him legit beating 1 of them, would have found it more believable and less diluted. Beating 2 of them seems unrealistic and takes me out of the moment a bit, used to feel similar when Austin would beat Taker and Kane in handicap matches, it was just a bit too much. I get why they did it, to establish superiority but it always took me out of suspending my disbelief. Kane and Taker were supposed to be nearly impossible to overcome individually so at the same time it just seemed overkill. It seemed lazy to me, I think Jericho could have been pushed better. No problem with him beating them both on separate occasions but it would have been better with a build I feel. Brock is a good example cause he was running through people in how early days but his push was better so you took it more seriously.
