Did Jericho deserve his win against Rock and Stone Cold in the same night/match?

I was team Jericho from his WWE debut. Always thought he looked cool and was funny and entertaining on the mic. With that said, looking back in hindsight idk if Jericho should've won that match. If I was Vince I would've gave that to Austin.

Plus it gave his smarmy-ass heel character a talking point in a lot of his promos for the next several years, so in retrospect I'm still good with it.

To answer the question though, I think he deserved it. If they were looking for a possible future main-eventer at the time he'd probably earned that kind of consideration by that point.
