But he got popped, which makes it ineffective. Sure some stans might cling to the "bubububu he was being jumped by 20 nikkas" framing but years from now nobody is going to talk about that. They're gonna talk about this as Drake vs Kendrick.
I agree he was trying to avoid Kendrick but at the same time he was playing a different game too. From the jump Drake's message was that Kendrick has a diss in the vault, drop that shyt and let's go. He had one plan: Kendrick will drop an old diss, I will respond with Family Matters and win. That's it. When that didn't work he didn't have a plan B. Flip side, Kendrick had multiple angles and tracks ready to go until he heard Heart 6 and realized it was over.
Just say he got successfully jumped and keep it moving. You can’t also try to reframe the argument to “well here’s how to not get jumped”
Again, from Drake’s perspective he even tried to mop everything up before getting at Kendrick directly but when you’re on the ground it’s still hard to triage a moving situation.
You gotta remember Drake is still a factor in this and what he’s assessing in the course of all of this and how he’s making bets, still matters.

Drake went about this shyt all wrong. He needed to go for the headshot against Kendrick and he didn't do it. He was rapping his ass off though.
