Yeah, credibility and money.

If he released it and it didn't live upto expectations which I doubt it would've he would've hurt his brand which he is eating of now via beats.
I think the fact beats became so successful was the nail in the coffin for detox ever actually getting released. Got too much to lose now.

I don't disagree with you on that. I def think the Monster thing played a factor but the album would have went platinum eventually and by hyping it up for a decade then just scrapping it makes him lose credibility and respect.
