Personally I'm enjoying how often Nash is suddenly showing up in a lot of top 5 pg and best offensive player in the league lists since joining the Lakers.

The mvp is a individual award based off your Teams success
Thats why an mvp was never handed to a guy who's team won less than 50 games or lower than a 4 seed which is why nash deserved both of them over kobe

A player's case for MVP shouldn't be determined on the quality of his teammates. I don't care if it's how it's always been...it's stupid.
Also, Kobe finished with the second most first-place votes....so clearly this belief isn't held throughout the industry.
